Although I believe not in anything and everything I come across, I do enjoy reading things that are fun. Since it's interesting I was reading an article by Michael S. Heiser.

It is titled : Who are The Elohim? The Answer Might Rattle Your Theology

In short I'll summarize. He argues, There exists a council of gods, and Yahweh [God of The Bible] is one of them. He further argues That existence of other gods and the council are proved by the bible itself.

Several Old Testament passages describe this administrative structure existing in the heavenly realm, as well. Psalm 82 is perhaps the clearest—and perhaps the most startling. The psalm refers to Yahweh’s administration as a council. The first verse reads:

“God (elohim) stands in the divine assembly;

he administers judgment in the midst of the gods (elohim).”

I'll leave the rest for all of you to figure out by reading the article yourself.

Michael is indeed one of the interesting people when it comes to bible study. Even still, not many people want to read his work and think it's controversial. He does carry a unique perspective regarding El and Elohim, But hear me out - what if Elohim was more like a system ? A system in which Yahweh was the highest?
